Bicentennial Conference on Sayyid Ahmad Khan

April 7 @ 9:30 am - 5:30 pm PDT

Unlocking the Riches of Sayyid Ahmad Khan (SAK): A Muslim Humanist Intellectual

SAK was a towering 19th century Muslim intellectual and leader. Born in the Indian Subcontinent under the British Raj, SAK offered some far-reaching insights on interconnections between humanism, science, and religion within the modern Islamic context. This conference will critically evaluate SAK’s thought and legacies for issues of contemporary significance, including but not limited to Religious Pluralism and Environmental Ethics.
