The Society for the Study of Process Philosophies (SSPP) will be meeting at the APA-Central convention, which will be held at the Westin Downtown Denver February 20-23, 2019. Papers can be in any area of process thought.

A CALL FOR PAPERS is being issued on this year’s theme: ‘Process’ and Related Concepts.
Submissions are welcome that 1) discuss the “relational turn,” or 2) examine the canon of process philosophers, or 3) address inter- or trans-disciplinary applications of ‘process’, e.g., in ecology and Systems Sciences, or 4) relate diverse Whiteheadian groups to each other: a) empirical, b) Hartshornian, c) Rescher/Seibt/Weber, d) Continental/Kellerian, e) Asian-Comparative, f) Pragmatic, g) Constructive Postmodern, h) Open and Relational Theology, i) Politics, j) Aesthetics, etc. In the words of John B. Cobb, Jr., We invite those who share our interest in more organic, relational, integrated, non-dualistic, and process ways to find a home in the wider Whiteheadian community or to become part of a network with us.
Each presentation will be 20 minutes, with 10 minutes for discussion. For submission of a 150 word abstract and 750 word proposal, the deadline is July 31, 2018.
Submissions will be sent to referees, so please eliminate self-identifying references. Please accompany your paper abstract and proposal with a separate page containing author’s name(s), paper title, institution, position, email, and postal address. Accepted submissions will be announced by the end of August, 2018.
Please send submissions to Dr. Jea Sophia Oh, joh@wcupa.edu.
