Co-sponsored by The Cobb Institute, The Institute for Ecological Civilization, and the Institute for the Postmodern Development of China, the “50th Anniversary Conference of the Center for Process Studies” celebrates the 50-year legacy of CPS and its creative transformation in the context of a new generation of process thinkers.

CONFERENCE RECORDINGS

With the help of the tech team at Claremont United Church of Christ, we were able to stream and record all the proceedings of our 50th Anniversary Conference! Our team is currently at work editing all this footage so that each presentation and panel discussion will be conveniently accessible and archived on the Center for Process Studies YouTube channel. Much of the footage has now been edited and uploaded to a 50th Anniversary Conference playlist but If you would like to watch through the entirety of conference, the bulk livestreams remains accessible on the Claremont UCC YouTube channel.

With morning and afternoon sessions, the workshop will take place at the Kingman’s Chapel of Claremont United Church of Christ from 10am - 3pm.

In 2023 the Center for Process Studies is celebrating it's 50th anniversary. We hope to continue promoting process-relational ways of thinking and being for a long time to come and would love your input for what the future could look like. Join us 4pm - 6pm at the Claremont UCC Roberts Room.

David Ray Griffin: A Memorial

Back in November of 2022, our dear friend and teacher, Dr. David Ray Griffin, passed away in his home at age of 83. Gathering for our 50th anniversary celebration presents an opportunity to come together to remember and honor David. A memorial service will be held in the Claremont UCC sanctuary from 6pm - 8pm.

The Common Good Film Festival is the culmination of our 50th Anniversary week, taking place Friday, Feb. 17 - Monday, Feb. 20 at the Claremont Laemmle movie theater!

Venue, Hotels, and Airports

All three days of our 50th Anniversary Conference and many of the events leading up to the conference will be hosted at the wonderful Claremont United Church of Christ. The address of the Church is 233 Harrison Ave in Claremont, California.

There are a number of hotels located close to Claremont UCC that you can choose from. Here's a few convenient options:

In terms of airports, one has the choice between Ontario (ONT) Airport which is 9.5 miles away (~15 minute drive from Claremont) and Los Angeles (LAX) International Airport—50 miles away (depending on traffic, 1-3 hours drive from Claremont).
